Although I tend to approach my work from a more artistic mindset, I am by no means beyond the realm of the purely functional. I first began fabricating by enrolling in vocational courses at the Santa Rosa Junior College and learning how to weld up to structural standards. I’ve worked on sculptures both large and small, spent time in a number of shops producing high end home decor, did a year plus casting metal for a company in the Pacific Northwest, have welded on trucks for rock-crawling clients, and have bolstered up trailers and built custom hardware for “tiny house” contractors. Beyond enjoying the creative process, I appreciate the utilitarian value of the trade.
